Helping Others

At Splash Swim School, swimmers, parents and teachers are part of a caring and welcoming community.

But we don’t want to keep it to ourselves.

That’s why we’re always looking for ways to support good causes in the localities where we teach. We also love to help charities that share our values and serve young people.

Some of our recent fundraisers and donations include:

Laura Lynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice

Each and every day, Laura Lynn staff are “making the most of short and precious lives”

On 14th May 2020 (in the middle of Ireland’s first lockdown), our founder Bríd and her son William shaved their heads for this very special charity. After an exciting build-up, they managed to raise a whopping €5,000 thanks to the generosity of the Splash Swim School community, family and friends.

MS North West Therapy Centre, Sligo

Serving clients from across the region and beyond, the centre aims to “enrich the lives of people with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions”.

We believe that swimming enriches lives both physically and mentally. So, we were delighted to raise €2,000 for the MS North West Therapy Centre in 2019. The staff used this money to purchase buoys for the Glencar Lough Swim and the Kings Challenge Aquathlon.

Sligo Bay Lifeboat Station, Rosses Point

RNLI volunteers faithfully save lives at sea, often putting their own at risk. Here at Splash Swim School, we particularly appreciate all they do to protect and rescue swimmers.

In 2018, Splash Swim School donated €200 to this vital service.
