Here at Splash Swim School, you’ll learn to swim in a step-by-step way that’s tailored to your needs.

Our curriculum is made up of a mixture of Swim Ireland and Water Safety Ireland objectives. We’ve spent nine years making sure it’s as effective as possible for our learners.

Although we teach specific skills at each level, you’ll decide the pace at which you learn. You won’t be expected to keep up with anybody else. On the other hand, if you want to progress more quickly, we’ll happily help.

Depending on numbers, you may find that everyone in your group is at a completely different stage. Don’t worry! Your instructor will have your personal level in mind as they teach. The curriculum gives structure to your learning, even in mixed-ability groups.

Whichever of our swim schools around Ireland  you join, your swimming journey will be unique to you. Our curriculum and instructors are here to encourage and support you, every stroke of the way!

Beginners, Levels 1 & 2

During these lessons, you’ll focus on gaining confidence and feeling at home in the water. You’ll begin by learning how to stay safe near the pool and how to get in and out of the water correctly.

Once in the pool, your instructor will help you to feel secure and relaxed.  Before long, you’ll be blowing bubbles and floating with the help of swim equipment.

By the end of Level 2, you’ll be able to confidently move through the pool by kicking and using floats. You’ll also be able to tread water, giving you a greater sense of security

Intermediate (Level 3 & 4)

As an intermediate swimmer, you’ll master the front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.

At this point, you’ll feel like all your hard work is really paying off.

You’ll even have the chance to try activities such as swimming underwater and diving to the bottom of the pool to collect objects.

Advanced (Levels 5, 6 & 7)

At the advanced levels, you’ll work hard on your technique, distance and stamina.

As well as this, your instructor will help you to focus on the aspects of swimming that mean the most to you.

Perhaps you want to swim for fitness, attempt an open-water race or develop life-saving skills. Whatever your interests, you’ll get advice on how to get the most out of the sport.
