At Splash Swim School we want to ensure the health and safety of every learner. Current guidelines advise against the sharing of personal training equipment. You are now required to purchase a swim-aid like a woggle and/or an aquaplane (float) or intermediate kickboard. Your instructor will discuss this with you at the poolside and best advise on the right piece of equipment your child requires.
Woggles are used in our junior classes starting from the age of 2 years and up. Woggles assist with your child developing balance and an ability to float in the water. We require your child to have their own woggle, they can be purchased from Splash Swim School.
Aquaplanes are used in our post beginner classes starting from the age of 4/5 years and up. They can be secured on the learners back to provide balance and buoyancy in order to give confidence to a learner without an adult in the water. They are then used in our improver and advanced levels as a kickboard. We require your child to have their own aquaplane they can be purchased from Splash Swim School.
Kickboards are used in our Advanced learner and adult classes. They allow the learner to develop leg action to strengthen. It enables the learner to focus on leg drills. We require every child/ adult learner to have a kickoard. They can be purchased from Splash Swim School.
